This Collaborator of the Olivetan Master (active c. 1431-1449), worked together with the Olivetan Master, an Olivetan monk, who is now identified as Girolamo da Milano. The Olivetan Order, a branch of the Benedictines, has a particular reverence for the Virgin Mary. On verso Gothic script. Sister leaves are present in notable public collections. - This high quality miniature is preserved in a 20th century hall-marked handcrafted golden frame of 14-carat gold (13 x 13 cm), which is adorned with turquoise gemstones.
